Fairytale chateau wedding in France, by top wedding photographer

We're looking back on this gorgeous wedding we had the honour to photograph last June in a sumptuous chateau in Auvergne, France. Hilary and Max, a lovely couple from America gathered their family and friends to celebrate their love. Here are a few photos from their big day!

A fairytale chateau in France...

I've photographed at a lot of chateaux across France and this one was definitely very special! Its impressive outside and atmospheric rooms were just a delight in every corner!

Wedding preparations

The bridal party got ready at the chateau. I love the morning preparations when everyone is doing their bit... it's the time to capture some great atmosphere photos!

The couple chose a classic and elegant style. Hilary wore an elegant and classic A-line wedding dress. Max wore a classic suit.

The bride is going to the ceremony! I had the chance to capture these beautiful photos in the corridor. This chateau was such a picturesque place!

Outdoor ceremony

The ceremony took place in the gardens of the chateau. It was decorated with a beautiful arch draped with a white veil and some beautiful flower arrangements on each side of the arch. The chairs were dressed with veiling and a bunch of peonies along the aisle.

The bridesmaids

Let's not forget the bridesmaids! They wore beautiful silk dresses and had beautiful peonies bouquets.

A magical couple shoot in the fields at sunset...

One of my favorite moment of the day is the couple shoot! I get a few minutes of the couple when they can be just the two of them and we go around the best places of the venue to capture some shots. There are not many moments when the couple is alone so I get to capture their emotions and love...

This shoot took place in the fields at sunset and the light was to die for... Definitely a big highlight of the season!! I can't even choose which photo to show!

Timeless and elegant wedding decorations

Hilary and Max choose an elegant and romantic styling for their French chateau wedding. White and pink peonies and candles, a classic that will always work!
