Boho Autumnal Wedding In Toulouse, by French wedding planner, stylist and photographer Awardweddings
Today we are taking you to South West France in a special venue nested in the countryside, with views of the Pyrenees. Rebecca and Rob travelled from the UK to celebrate their wedding with their close family and friends last Autumn.
An intimate celebration
The wedding took place in an old abbey in South West France. The day was early October and the sun shone brightly.
Following a relaxed morning amongst close friends, the ceremony took place outdoors in the garden under a tree. The guests then enjoyed some cocktails and canapes around the pool and in the gardens. A live duo played music for the welcome drinks and cocktail reception.
The group then had a candlelit dinner in the dining hall, followed by a party under the stars.
Thousands lights in Autumn
Rebecca and Rob went for an Autumnal feel with a slightly unusual touch for the dinner table scape. “When Rebecca sent me a photo of her favorite bouquet, I was so delighted and it inspired to create the overall styling around it.” The bouquet had protea, foliage in various flowers in shades of green, cream and light cream. All the flowers for the rest of the day were inspired by it and the ceremony arch had a similar structure with pampa grass and lilies.
Candles was the other central element of the day, and there were lots of them, especially for dinner! Contrarily to most weddings, there were no flowers on the dinner tables, but instead, a mixture of pillar candles and brass candlesticks running in the center of rusty metal tables. To complement this magical look, fairy lights were on the walls and ceiling.
Special touches
The day was punctuated by a lot of special touches along the day we loved. The bride’s very cute shoes from Irregular Choice, the live music, the candles on the tables, the gorgeous suspension above the dinner tables, the double wedding cakes: croquembouche and naked cake, and the couple shoot in the golden fields… Just a wonderful day for a very sweet couple!
